Your Responsibilities

As a senior project manager for construction projects, you will be responsible for leading and driving larger infrastructure projects from early stages to completion. You will work on technically and economically complex projects where you ensure that processes and execution maintain high quality, meet regulatory requirements, and create value for the city's residents.

With us, you will have the opportunity to make a real difference in urban development and work on exciting and challenging projects. Sweden's largest infrastructure project, Ostlänken, with a new double-track railway between Järna and Linköping, is described as the region's most important. Ostlänken creates new opportunities for Norrköping's development, and you will be part of that work.

Your tasks include:

  • Planning, leading, and following up on projects within construction and public spaces, from feasibility studies to implementation.
  • Coordinating various stakeholders, including internal and external actors, contractors, and consultants.
  • Preparing and presenting decision-making materials for steering groups and political bodies.
  • Ensuring that projects meet budget, timeline, and quality requirements.
  • Responsible for procurements and contracts, including leading the design work and ensuring the right documents for procurement.
  • Managing risks, sustainability aspects, and technical challenges related to the city's infrastructure development.

We offer a dynamic workplace with engaged colleagues, good development opportunities, and a positive work environment where we support each other and have fun together!

Who are you?

We are looking for someone with relevant education in construction, civil engineering, community building, or equivalent work experience.

Furthermore, we see that you have experience leading complex projects in infrastructure, construction, or community building, for example as a project manager, site manager, or technical consultant. You have good knowledge of laws and regulations related to construction law, procurement (LOU), and construction technology.

We see that you have a financial understanding and experience in cost control, budgeting, and financial follow-up in projects, with a habit of presenting and making decisions based on analysis and dialogue.

To succeed in the role of project manager, you have a good ability to lead and coordinate complex projects with many actors and stakeholders, where you make well-founded decisions that drive the projects forward.

A strength of yours is that you are persistent and communicative, wanting to be part of the solution in the challenges you face! You value collaboration and team spirit, where you actively contribute and share your knowledge.

A valid driver's license and good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written, are required.

We view positively if you also have experience working in municipal or public operations and certification in project management (e.g., IPMA, PMI, Prince2).

Are you ready to take on the challenge? Apply today!
